Staff Bios (Tyler)

gailmoore Gail Moore
Director of Daily Operations

I  have lived in Lindale my entire life and I love the community.  I am the proud mother of 3 beautiful children, Paige, Macie and Brennan.  As a family, we like to do anything that pertains with the outdoors, especially riding 4 wheelers, fishing, shooting guns and hog hunting (well, my son in law Johnny likes that part).  I like watching movies, shopping and listening to music. I just try to enjoy my life and value the time I have with my family and friends.I absolutely love what I do for a living. I have been working in Early Education since 1987 when I started working as a 3-year-old teacher my Senior year of high school. I graduated from college (Tyler Jr. College and attended LeTourneau University) and continued to work in the field. I worked in the public school for several years, but always seemed to come back to work with younger age children. I worked as an administrative assistant, assistant director and 3-year-old teacher until I was Director certified. I served as a Director at two different centers before coming to Grace EEC. This by far has been the best experience for me, and I love working with the staff, children and families of Grace.

Preslie Specht
Assistant Director – Infant/Toddler Building

I began working in the childcare industry about 12 years ago. I graduated from Lindale High School and went on to receive my Bachelors in Psychology with an emphasis on Child Psychology in 2010 from the University of Texas at Tyler. I have always loved children, and I feel very blessed to have found my passion so early in life.  I came to Grace as the lead teacher for the two year old classroom in July of 2009 and moved to administration in September of that year. We opened up Grace’s Infant/Toddler Center in January of 2011, and I then moved to that building as the Assistant Director. I love that my job consists of coming to work every day and getting to see so many smiling young faces! There aren’t many other jobs that you’re able to come to work and get as many hugs as I do on a daily basis.  It’s wonderful to be part of such a great organization where the children are the most important part of every day, parents who are involved and a staff who love what they do! I can’t imagine ever doing anything else. I am also a CASA volunteer, and I am very much looking forward to becoming more and more involved in that.  My hope is to continue to make a bigger difference in young children’s lives! In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and of course my fur babies–Piper and Hallie! 🙂

Jill Roberts
2nd Assistant Director

I just completed my first year as Assistant Director at Grace Early Education Center. I absolutely love my job, the staff and especially the children and their families. I have previously worked as a preschool teacher for over 5 years and a Director of a private preschool in Tyler for 15 years. I have served on many local boards advocating for children, including Tyler Association of Young Children, Smith County Champions for Children and Child Care Licensing. I am a member of First Christian Church in Tyler.

I have been married for over 30 years to my husband, Randy, and we have two grown children. I have cherished the role of mother, but the most rewarding and fulfilling role has been that of grandmother! I have a three grandchildren whom I absolutely adore.

After working in a private school for so many years, my favorite thing about working at Grace is the daily teaching of God and praying, singing and rejoicing to Him. We have Chapel every Wednesday, and this 30 minute time period is my favorite part of the week. I am touched each week by a precious prayer that is offered at the end by a child. Working with children has always been a blessing, and the joyful hearts of children is so rewarding that it rarely feels like a job.

Ann Frazier K4 Teacher

I was born and raised in Kansas. My father was a welding teacher at an industrial trade school and my mother was the elementary/high school secretary in our small town. Having parents involved in school and having so many wonderful teachers growing up, I knew from a young age that I also wanted to teach!I attended Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, KS, graduating in 1987 with a BS in Elementary Education. My husband and I then moved to Houston, TX, where I taught 2nd grade for Dickinson ISD for four years. I stayed home 10 years, raising our three sons and then returned to teaching by subbing and eventually working full time for Tyler ISD for 9 years.During my time with Tyler ISD, I taught 3rd and 4th grade at Clarkston Elementary. I began working at Grace Early Education Center in 2010 and have enjoyed it tremendously! I am constantly amazed at the zest for learning in these young students. I don’t think there could be anything as rewarding as watching their little faces light up when they learn something new and being so proud of themselves when they have accomplished a task. I count it a true privilege and a blessing from God to be working with the 4 year olds here!
